Look at what's below. For you, the few and faithful followers of this remote Jahn family blog, you are the first to see it. It is the Schutz-Marke - the 'protection brand' or trademark of the Züllchower Anstalten in Züllchow (ZAZ). It was, presumably, on everything made by or published at the Institutes, directed by Gustav Jahn and then our grandparents' Uncle Fritz. And this one comes from the 1929-30 Weihnachtskrippen und Spiele Verzeichnis (Christmas Cribs and Games Catalog)!
More, much more, later!
Information and updates on the lives and for the descendants of Gustav Jahn and his wife Dorothea von Dieskau. This includes their children with the surnames Jahn, Kuhlmann and Rahn.

A Never-Before-Seen Photo!
Hey Jahns,
Thanks to cousin Rick - out of the blue comes this phenominal photo that I (or my father, Konrad's grandson) have never seen before.
This is the parsonage at Worms. On the left are Konrad and Freda. Richard is holding the rifle, Paul is on the fence, and that might be Dora in the white dress. The remaining 3 people are unknown.
What a great picture - thanks Rick!

Keep up with the Jahns on your Smartphone!
Hi family,
Just a new bit of info - this blog is now smartphone-friendly, so if you have an iPhone or Android or any kind of smart phone (maybe), you can follow things here on it!
Give it a try and post a comment - I wonder how it works!

New Letter from 1911
Here's one of the discoveries from the gathering in Chattanooga - a letter from Konrad's brother-in-law, Rev. Karl Kuhlmann, dated August 1, 1911. Here is the first page: as written, as transcribed and as translated.
